Lovers walk off on each other
Brothers go their separate ways
You wake up somewhere in the middle
Wonderin' why nobody staysYou are a child of wild desires
When you're innocence leaves, yeah
Why you wanna play with fire?
Here I am, here I amJ' m'appel La Flamme
(C'est mon nom)
Set off your alarm
(Ooh se coir)
Let me take you home
Bet'cha, I'll take care of everything
TonightWhat, what, what?
What'cha gonna do for me?You thought her love was too good
She's the reason for your pain
But hey, I'm gonna make you happy
I'll never let you hurt againKilled, almost killed you with her honesty
Back when you innocently stayed
Why you wanna play with fire?
Here I am, here I amJ' m'appel La Flamme
(C'est mon nom)
Set off your alarm
(Ooh se coir)
Let me take you home
Bet'cha I'll take care of everything
(Ain't, ain't, ain't nobody)
TonightJ' m'appel La Flamme
(C'est mon nom)
Set off your alarm
(Ooh se coir)
Let me take you home
Bet'cha I'll take care of everything
TonightTonight, make it happen for real
Make your fantasies happen, completely
Come stay with me
Stay with meJ' m'appel La Flamme
(C'est mon nom)
Set off your alarm
(Ooh se coir)
Let me take you home
Bet'cha I'll take care of everything
Bet'cha I'll take care of everything
TonightJ' m'appel La Flamme
(C'est mon nom)
Set off your alarm
(Ooh se coir)
Won't you take me home?
Bet'cha I'll take care of everything
TonightJ' m'appel La Flamme
My nomme is Chaka Khan
(C'est mon nom)
Won't you take me home?
Bet'cha I'll, I'll take care of everything ml

In 1964 at the age of 11 she formed her first group, the Crystalettes. While still in high school, she joined the Afro-Arts Theater, a group which toured with Motown great Mary Wells; a few years later, she adopted the African name Chaka Khan while working on the Black Panthers' breakfast program.
